30 Reasons to do NaNoWriMo

    1. Congratulations on joining, Jess! I tried NaNoWriMo for the first time in 2012, but dropped out, so I consider 2013 my first “official” year. It was a great experience, and I know yours will be too! I know it can seem a little stressful, so just try to have fun and remember there aren’t any rules for the first draft. 🙂 If you’d like to add me as a NaNoWriMo buddy, my username on there is Sarah Scribbles. Happy writing!

    1. Thanks for the luck and your comment, James! I personally think short stories are awesome. I tend to get a little long winded, so I admire anyone who can tell a story without wasting words. Best wishes on yours!

  1. This list explains all the perfect reasons to do NaNoWriMo! I know I had a blast participating in it last year. If it weren’t for those silly college courses I have to take, I would totally join again! I miss it like crazy! (Maybe I’ll drop all this higher education nonsense and solely focus on my characters . . . I’m sure that would be a wise move.) Good luck with the rest of your writing, Sarah! I know you’ll do awesome!

    1. P.S. Your best friend sounds awesome! I wish I had someone who would do crazy things like participate in NaNoWriMo with me. You sure are blessed, Sarah. Very blessed, indeed . . .

    2. Thanks ever so much, Jillian! I’m glad you found the list accurate 🙂 I miss having you as my writing buddy like crazy! But I wouldn’t show your characters any sign of weakness- if they hear that you’re contemplating leaving college for them, they’ll surely harass you. More than they already do, at any rate.
